Moscow State Institute of International Relations – MGIMO – and the University of Geneva, through the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of UNIGE have signed a double-degree agreement which allows students to pursue simultaneously the Master of International Affairs program “Governance and Global Affairs” offered by MGIMO and the “International Organizations Master of Business Administration” (IOMBA). Double-degree students admitted to this program spend their first year in Moscow and the second year in Geneva.

Bernard Morard, Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Geneva and his team are delighted about the newly signed agreement in that “the IOMBA has already established agreements with universities from North America, Europe and Asia and it was our desire to welcome more Russian students by signing a formal agreement with a prestigious Russian University, which prepares students for careers in international cooperation and diplomacy. As the Russian Federation has recently joined the WTO, we believed it was the ideal time to sign this double-degree agreement.”

“The Double Degree in International Relations with the University of Geneva became a result of successful cooperation of two dignified partners, two “Premier League players” that are top destinations for international students from all over the world. Double Degree programs provide partner-universities with better understanding of each other’s academic standards and curricula. The programs at postgraduate level aim both to broaden educational offerings and strengthen research collaboration between universities raising international prestige of both partners.”  Andrey A. BAYKOV, Director of Master’s Programs Office, MGIMO (U).
